Early color film of visit to Helen Frye's ranch at Sedona with Slide Rock, House of Apache Fires Studio, Uptown Sedona, etc. Helen Frye is the former wife of TWA President Jack Frye.
Lazy Hazy Days of Summer at Helen Vanderbilt Frye's Smoke Trail Ranch at Sedona (now Red Rock State Park). Films taken by Rosie Targhetta who visited the ranch often. She also worked for Jack and Helen Frye from 1947 on, and moved into the House of Apache Fires in summer of 1948 as Helen’s household assistant and secretery. Rosie’s brother Joseph Targhetta was ranch manager for Jack and Helen in the late 1940’s.

Oak Creek Canyon Overlook, scenes of switchbacks, visit to Slide Rock Finished Upstairs Studio at House of Apache Fires- Frye Ranch (Helen entertained here at times). This was the private quarters of Jack Frye, as well, when he and Helen were married. Helen Frye, Nassan Gobran, Rosie, and new husband Frank, Helen’s niece Sisty, Helen’s pet skunk. Pan of Frye Ranch and Willow House to include Frye Smoke Trail mail box and horse belonging to Lois and Nick Duncan’s son. Party at (Eugenia) Gee Wright’s house. Gee was a Wright Silver Cream heiress, and in addition to having a business uptown, she was the laundress at the Verde Valley School for years, something she did for free (few were aware of this). Later in life, she and her partner (Helen Ecker) donated the land for the Sedona Library when it was Uptown off Jordan Road. People at the party were Helen Frye and Gee (cooking), Nassan Gobran and his longtime partner, Cecil Lockhart Smith (uptown business owner), Betty and Walter Duncan (Helen’s Ranch Managers in the 1950’s), Nick and Lois Duncan (owned Crescent Moon Ranch at Baldwin’s Crossing), Lois was an Kellogg cereal heiress, Helen’s mother Maude Varner and her granddaughter Sisty Reynolds, and lastly, Rosie Targhetta and her new husband Frank Armijo. Ending with swimming at the Frye Ranch with Rosie and Helen below House of Apache Fires.
