I'll be honest: I've purchased a few of those "unlock this character/skill/thing you need to grind forever and a day for" DLCs. I always feel a little unclean afterwards. But on the otherhand: the older I get, the less appealing excessive grinding for stuff is to me. And that is why all Korean MMORPGs are terrible.
Another confession: I collect every Nuka Cola Quantum I come across in every modern Fallout game and proceed to do nothing with them, quantifiable gameplay-wise. I just line them up on a mantlepiece and admire them and then come back later and find them all knocked over because Bethesda's jitery physics engine.
