This is a short documentary on Susie Jaramillo, the creator behind the series Canticos. Canticos is a collection of Latino nursery rhymes brought to life in the form of books apps and sing along videos. This film talks about the inception of the project and inspiration at its core. A look behind the scenes at our thought process and talent that drives this project.

Canticos (little songs) is a branded collection of some of the most beloved nursery rhymes and songs from all over the Spanish-speaking world. Our first nursery rhyme is Little Chickies (Los Pollitos Dicen Pío, Pío, Pío).

Designed by parents with love and care, these “Canticos" will feature endearing characters that we bring to life through books, apps, sing-a-long videos and more. Our goal is to foster multilingual learning that promotes child development including counting, fine motor skills, language, music and pattern recognition .

For our apps, we have created multiple interactive “creative play” experiences for kids to explore, experiment and express themselves. In addition, we present the nursery rhyme in 8 languages: English, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, French, Hindi, Mandarin and Japanese. The Spanish version of the nursery rhyme will be sung by celebrated Latino singers.

Our bilingual novelty board books are designed to be reversible. The nursery rhyme is presented in an interactive “pure story” format with one side of the book in its native Spanish language and a new rhyming English language translation on the other side.

We hope you love our culture-inspired nursery rhymes!
