Today, we go over how to get up and running with Vapor 3, a server side framework for Swift 4. We will go over how to download everything you'll need for a hello world project, as well as how to write our own GET API.

Server-side Swift is making starting to become a viable option for businesses, and today you'll learn how to start taking a step in that direction. We are going to go over how to install the latest versions of Swift, Homebrew, and Vapor. Then I will go over the main structuring of the Vapor project. Lastly, we will go over how to call the default APIs given by Vapor as well as writing our own.
