Home of Hope was started in 2005 and is a registered non-profit organization that provides care services for abandoned and abused children. Many of these children suffer with the effects of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) – permanent brain damage caused by pre-natal exposure to alcohol. The organisation also caters for the special educational needs of children suffering from FAS and neurological challenges, in our Amathemba Learning Centre. We currently have 19 children in our long term care and 32 children at our Amathemba Learning Centre.
