What in the World? An MCYU video series featuring Experts Answering Kids Questions.

Episode 2 features Dr. Benson Honig who is the Teresa Cascioli Chair in Entrepreneurial Leadership, at the DeGroote School of Business, McMaster University. Dr. Honig teaches doctoral students, in the Integrated Business and Humanities (IBH) program, in the Biomedical Discovery & Commercialization (BDC) program, runs research grants, and travels around the world doing his research.

The questions in Episode 2 were submitted from kids who attended Dr. Benson Honig’s lecture “Entrepreneurs: Who are they? What do they do? and Why should it matter to you?” with the MCYU Family Lecture Series at McMaster University in Hamilton, ON. This lecture explored what it takes to become an entrepreneur and how entrepreneurs (including lots of kids!) have changed society and your everyday life.

Questions in this Episode:

Question 1: How do entrepreneurs know how much to pay themselves?

Question 2: Do entrepreneurs know their customers before they start their business? Or, do they first invent their product and then find their customers?

Question 3: Do entrepreneurs always want to grow their business? Or is it okay just to have a steady business that doesn't grow?
