Benny Lee Webb's appeal is stalled due to his failure to serve copies of his Initial Brief of Appellant and Designation of Matter on the Respondent, the state's Attorney General's Office. That Office has filed a Motion to Dismiss the appeal, for the above failure to comply with the Rules of Appellate Practice.

Benny Lee Webb was arrested and charged with Assault & Battery 3rd on an Arrest Warrant obtained by South Carolina's State Law Enforcement Division (SLED).

Town of Atlantic Beach, S.C. Interim Town Manager Benny Lee Webb's criminal acts when a citizen requested a public record at the Town Hall. Atlantic Beach Police Chief Mike Bordner has failed to take any action, despite having one of his officers, Sgt. John Jackson, witnessing the event. Horry County Police Deputy Chief David Beaty says that he won't "intervene."
Horry County Police refuse to take a police report and seek arrest warrants for Webb.
Benny Webb has neither the even temperament, nor the good judgment, necessary to be the elected sheriff of Sumter County, S.C., for which he recently declared his candidacy.
