From the top of Ghost Hill Hervey Bay I painted this canvas "Plein Air style" using Black Ink. "Plein Air" is French for in the open air and is a style of art I really enjoy. I met a local bloke who lives in the area and explained to him that it is one of my favorite subjects to paint. I asked him if he knew the story of Ghost Hill and he was the first person that Ive asked that knows the actual story. Apparently when the settlers were walking from Dundowran / Craignish through the bush and up over the hill there was an eerie fog at the top of the hill and no where else to be seen. Normally in these parts if there is fog about it's generally in low lying areas like at the bottom of the hills. So this was out of the ordinary and is why it was named "Ghost Hill". There's a great sea view from the top of the hill, its a shame you can barely see it in the video as the natural light was fading out with the sun going down. Oh well I'll just have to create another piece in the morning next time. At the bottom of the Hill is Kawungan Shops, Sugar Cane Fields and then it runs into to the centre of town.
I tried something different with the audio and mixed in some orchestra sounds with the beats and electronic tunes.
