The Bright Future award honors individuals who have had success at removing the causes and conditions of poverty in their own lives by using the programs and services available through Brightpoint. This award recognizes that attitude can make all the difference. And that – no matter what assistance is available – it can take considerable effort to move from where you are towards a brighter future. Michael Chittick received this award in 2016.

Michael Chittick served in the military from 1999 to 2005 until he was injured in Iraq. He then worked for 8 years as a Prototype Research and Development Technician. When he was laid off, he used the GI Bill to go to school where he got really close to getting an electrical engineering degree. After exhausting his personal resources, he got help from Brightpoint.
