I apologize for the audio quality and my voice; I had a cold when I recorded this. Cleaning your makeup brushes is easy! It's important to wash them regularly to prevent acne and other harmful bacteria from spreading around your face. As a professional makeup artist, brushes should be sanitized after every use, so there are quicker methods available such as a cleansing spray. However, for personal use makeup brushes it can be easier to wash them using what you already have at home. My preferred method is to use shampoo. Simply wash each brush individually under warm water and lather the bristles with shampoo -- repeat until all residual makeup product is removed and the water runs clear. To protect the glue that hold the bristles to the handle, it's important to dry the brushes upside down. Taping them against a wall upside down is a simple way to let them dry. They will often require an entire day to completely dry. Afterwards they will be very soft and will even apply makeup smoother!
