One group of people who are closely watching the election is the United States' neighbour to the south - Mexico. One of the key issues the two countries share is immigration and policing their common border.

For many in Mexico, what happens in their future could likely hang on the policies of the new American President.

Al Jazeera's Franc Contreras spoke with people on both sides of the international divide, and sent us this report from the US-Mexico border.
