America's Got Talent season 7 kicked off live shows with the quarterfinals in New York City on July 2, 2012. Howard Stern joins as a judge on America's Got Talent this season, and Howie Mandel, Sharon Osbourne and Nick Cannon all continue their roles on AGT 2012. This week, Howard, Howie, Nick, and Sharon have traveled across the country in search of America's most talented acts. Now it's time for the judges to begin the difficult process of narrowing down the final 48 contestants to just a single million-dollar act.

This week, we see the Distinguished Men of Brass, the ensemble jazz band/dance team that first came to the AGT stage in Tampa. Edon is a young musical sensation who first premiered in AGT's Austin auditions. Jarrett and Raja are the music-and-magic duo that first charmed the crowd with their whimsical performance in San Francisco. Lil Starr may be tiny, but she brings an enormous personality to the AGT stage. The 6-year-old tap dancing sensation wowed the crowd in her Los Angeles audition, then endeared herself to the judges with her exuberant performance in Las Vegas. Todd Oliver developed an interesting take on ventriloquism. He uses his loveable dog Irving as a ventriloquist dummy. American BMX Stunt Team brought its 10-man, high-flying bike and scooter stunt team to AGT's Tampa auditions and amazed the judges, pulling off a huge performance in a very small space. A former sportscaster in Australia, Nikki Jensen crooned her way into the quarterfinals with a unique rendition of "Moon River" in the Austin auditions. The Scott Brothers describe their act as a dance/performance art/comedy/theater experience, and based on their last two AGT performances, that's an accurate description. Michael Nejad first caught the judges' attention in San Francisco. When he walked onto the stage sweeping, they thought he might be the theater custodian. Then, Michael picked up his broom and began playing it like a flute. 787 Crew is a high-energy acrobatic dance crew from Puerto Rico that has come to the mainland to show America that Puerto Rico is the birthplace of true talent. Shanice and Maurice Hayes are a father-daughter singing duo that honed their chops singing on the sidewalks of Kansas City, Missouri. David Garibaldi and his CMYKs are a performance art speed painting team that first caught the judges' attention in the San Francisco auditions. Colleen a.k.a. psychosoprano recaps!
