http://spywarepreventionguy.com If you are unable to open a webpage with Internet Explorer and/or Firefox, especially after a malware infection, your proxy server settings may have been changed. Sometimes they get changed by someone messing with the browser settings when trying to repair the computer, but proxy server settings can also be changed by malware.

If you were infected and believe you have removed the malware, but still can't open a web page, your proxy server settings may have been changed and you need to manually set them back.
