This was the first demo I ever saw, and it influenced me greatly when I first saw it. Haven't yet seen a rendered/baked version uploaded that does it justice, especially the awesome music.
Run on DOSBox 0.73 (with cpu=dynamic), audio at 48khz [16-bit at 48khz with 4kb/20ms buffer on emulated sound blaster], video uses hq3x upscaling technique.
Both video and audio streams captured losslessly with bandicam at 60hz, composition, cropping & minor edits in Adobe Premiere. Final compression with H.264 multi-pass 5Mbps variable bitrate target, audio to AAC 320kbps at 48khz.
Video is letterboxed within a 720p frame to maintain native (or more accurately, 3xnative - via hq3x) resolution in order to avoid a secondary youtube-side lossy re-encode (including muddying of audio).
