Forever associated with the wonderful Nat King Cole, "The Christmas Song" written in 1944 by Mel Tormé and Bob Wells was recorded by him 4 different times. This version, the second, recorded with his Trio and a string section on August 19, 1946, released by Capitol Records in November 1946, can be found on the box set Cool Cole, The King Cole Story. It has become one of the great classic Christmas songs. I do not own the right to the song, audio, or images contained in this video.
