Doberman sets up protective perimeter around baby.
Zorro's (no longer) secret identity is: Ch. Kinetic Don Diego de la Vega
Some seem to think Zorro (Doberman) was being possessive. But actually, it was my other dog that was trying to stand over the baby and establish his superior position in the pack. Zorro wasn't allowing it. It took a while, but once my other dog approached appropriately, on his belly, Zorro let him close to her and they were all great friends. You can see he isn't being aggressive and isn't even vocal about it. That's what you would have seen if he was exhibiting possessiveness (like over food or a toy).
Thanks to all for the nice comments. I haven't had time to respond as well as I would have liked. Best, Lori (Zorro's mom)
