Azzaz is another important city of northern countryside of Syria, which is situated along the Turkish Syrian borderline. Almost 70% of the Turkish-Syrian border is under rebel's control. I visited the city several times including when it was battle fighting between the Syrian Army and the FSA (Free Syrian Army).
This time I visited a bit more freely as we didn't have to be afraid from the snipers, since the central mosque of Azzaz, was taken under control of rebels and there was no more killings from the mosque minaret. Since then July 4th, 2012, Azzaz Syrians started praying on the central mosque of their town.
