The Futureheads are a four-piece English post-punk revival band from Sunderland. The band met at Bede College as a trio with Barry Hyde on vocals and guitar, Jaff on bass, and Peter Brewis on drums. Ross Millard (vocals and guitar) joined soon after having been in a band with Jaff. They used the Sunderland City Detached Youth Project building (where Brewis and Hyde worked) as a free practice space, fitting since the project was intended to get young people off the streets by using music. They first performed in 2000, and through word-of-mouth their reputation in the local area grew. Hyde's younger brother Dave (who replaced Brewis, who went on to join fellow north east rockers Field Music) joined later, and their first single was released in 2002. They recently released their new album "This is Not the World".

Paul Hayden Desser (born 1971) who records as Hayden, is a Canadian singer-songwriter from Thornhill, Ontario. His early works are a largely eclectic mix of genres from grunge rock to alt country, as demonstrated by his first full album, Everything I Long For. Since then his work has become progressively quieter and more mature. His latest release, 2008's In Field & Town, is almost exclusively slow, acoustic, and more refined.
