Well now, time to get another game started posting! Time for a little more Kirby as we step into what was the very first Kirby game I ever played... Kirby's Dream Land 2. I had never discovered Kirby until I first discovered emulation as the family I was living with at the time did not own any Kirby games... This was the one I ended up picking up first, and I have been quite the fan of Kirby games ever since. Kirby's Dream Land 2 was the first time in the series where copy abilities were introduced... the game also introduced three animal buddies that Kirby could get some help from too, Rick the hampster, Kine the fish, and Coo.the owl. Each has their own version of the 7 powers in the game, making a total of 28 different powers you can mess around with. Some of them are extremely similar to one another, though... The only animal buddy of significant note is Coo, who has pretty decent powers and offers such wonderful mobility that both Rick and Kine are simply made obsolete... especially Kine!

The worlds in Kirby's Dream Land 2 are pretty short for the most part, and the stages especially so. Due to this, I feel no need to post one level per video, but instead, one good length video per day. The first world, Grass Land (...now where have I heard that name before...~) is exactly what you would expect. It is short, simple, gives you some minor powers to work with, and one of the animal buddies to get you started. Each world also has a gem to collect (I am not sure of their proper name). You need all of these to proceed to the final boss... which is a trend that continued after this game as Kirby 64 has shown. The first world's gem is very easy to get, but of course, they get far more difficult to obtain in later worlds.

The boss of this first world should come as no surprise at all. While he has gained a couple of new attacks... Wispy Woods is still just pathetic old Wispy Woods. He stands no chance at all unless you have like... one or two health and that is it.

Enjoy!~
