Spearfishing in Carmel, California with Chaeki, Rick, Chris, and Ken. We started pretty far out in about 40 feet of water, and it was quite dark at the bottom. Then, we moved in closer to better visibility and more light.

I shot a limit of rockfish, including my first Cabezon. I also shot my first Monkeyface Prickleback Eel which measured out at 27 inches. I later got a second smaller Monkeyface Prickleback, but unfortunately that occurred after the batteries in the GoPro ran out.

I saw and shot at 2 Ling Cod, but missed both!

The very blue fish with large scales is a Blacksmith. Including the 2 perch, I ended up with 15 fish on my stringer, a personal best (9 Rockfish + 1 Cabezon, 2 MFPB, 2 Perch, 1 Blacksmith). There were a lot of schooling blacks, and I passed on many perch, since they tend to be a bit mushy. I also saw a few kelp greenlings which I left, since they count against the RGC but aren't as tasty as Rockfish.
