The Amazing Spider-Man review. Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of The Amazing Spider-Man from Beenox and Activision for the Nintendo 3DS. The Amazing Spider-Man is a new action game based on the upcoming film. Out with Tobey Maguire, in with Andrew Garfield. The game takes place after the events of the movie and trades the open-world approach of previous Spider-Man games for a more linear design. It's basically a 3D beat 'em up, only with some crazy acrobatics and lots of very empty levels. Fortunately, Spider-Man's move set is a bit fuller. You can do hand-to-hand combat, which is fantastic because Spider-Man fights like a luchador, or you can engage enemies from a distance. This video review features video gameplay footage of The Amazing Spider-Man for the Nintendo 3DS and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.
