Chris Jericho trained under Keith Hart, and in 1990, made his pro wrestling debut. He would quickly form a tag team with Lance Storm winning numerous tag team titles in Canada. The two ended up traveling together to Smoky Mountain in 1994. In 1993, Jericho also went to Consejo Mundial Lucha Libre, where he would win the WWA Tag Team Titles with El Dandy, and the NWA Middleweight Title. He would then venture to Japan to compete for WAR, where he won the WAR International Jr. Heavyweight Title, and the International Tag Team Titles alongside Gedo.
In 1996, Paul Heyman called him into ECW, but WCW snatched him up, but not before Jericho won the ECW Television Title, before dropping it 4 months later. In WCW, Jericho dominated the Cruiserweight division, until finally in 1997, Jericho defeat Syxx Pac for the WCW Cruiserweight Title. Jericho continued to dominate the Cruiserweight Division, where he defeated Rey Misterio Jr, Dean Malenko and Juventud Guerrera. Chris also added the WCW Television Title to his waist, before losing both belts. Then, in 1998, Jericho disappeared.
Fast forward to the summer of 1999. A mysterious Millennium countdown appeared on the Titantron, and when it counted down to zero, Chris Jericho had arrived. He won the Intercontnental Title, the European Title and even defeated The Rock and Steve Austin to unify both the WWF World and the World Heavyweight Titles to become the first Undisputed Champion in over fifty years in late 2001. As time went on, Jericho found himself feuding with John Cena, and was fired after losing a match with Cena on Raw.
Two years later, he returned, proclaiming himself to be the one to save us from Randy Orton. He would fail to win the WWE Title, but roughly a year later, he once again held the World Heavyweight Title, and half a year later, after losing the belt, he and Edge won the Unified Tag Team Titles, and after Edge's injury, Jericho would compete alongside the Big Show, eventually losing them to DX late in 2009. However, Jericho rebounded by winning the World Heavyweight Title. Jericho lost the title after Wrestlemania 26, then feuded with Edge before being drafted to Raw. He competed to Raw until he was recently punted by Randy Orton, leaving Jericho time to get some well deserved rest.
Heres to Y2J winning the Royal Rumble 2011!
