I borrowed someone's computer for the weekend so I can explain General/Special Relativity, the space-time continuum, etc..., but I only had enough time to make a quick video explaining Warp Theory. To do that I made animations on how I visualize space-time and why you would need to separate the space around a ship from regular space.

Also, when people talk about an object accelerating close to the speed of light through space-time I always hear how the object will gain mass, time will slow down for that object/person, light from that object will redshift or blueshift (watch "The Doppler Effect" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kg9F5p... ), but I never hear mentioned if the space-time in front of it will be contracted and the space-time behind it will be expanded. So I assume that is the case when thinking about an accelerating object in space-time.

Hopefully when I get some more time/money/hardware I can give a better and more thorough explanation of the things Einstein talked about and how they link up with quantum mechanics. If you like stuff like this then you can help me make more at atdisplays.wordpress.com/about. If you like talking about this kind of stuff then physicsforums.com is your kind of place.
