Governor Christie: So now in the next 19 days—I'm coming to Haddonfield today because I need your help.
Anybody watch Jerry Maguire, or see the movie Jerry Maguire? Remember that great scene in the locker room where Jerry Maguire is talking to his only client he's got left? Right? And he looks at him and he says help me help you. Help me help you. Help me help you. That's what I'm here to say to Haddonfield today. Help me help you. I want to help you. I want to cut your taxes. I want to continue the New Jersey comeback that has begun. I want to make sure that we bring more new jobs into this state. I want to make sure that we get more of our people back to work. I want to see our economy growing again and I want to see the sense of confidence that I feel coming back in this state. I want to throw gasoline on it and set that fire all across the state. But to do that, we've got to give you more of your own money back. It's the only way to do it. Government can't solve these problems. We're only going to screw 'em up, I guarantee you. We need to let you have more of your own money to invest in your businesses, to save for your kids' college education, to maybe go on a vacation and relax for a week at the Jersey Shore, to do the things that you want to do with your families with your hard-earned money. That's what we need to do. We got 19 days to get it done now. The Senate Democrats are all in. They're ready to go. They're ready to cut taxes. I know it. I can feel it. I've been reading these faces down there for 2 ½ years now, I know what's happening. It's just the Assembly Democrats now.
