Las Vegas Metro (LVMPD) is forced to behave during a DUI check point due to people with firearms and cameras on the scene. They normally make a DUI checkpoint a revenue generations point, e.g. license plates, insurance, warrant check, seat belts, baby seats, and towing cars away. This time all they did was check for drunks and we only witnessed ONE arrest all night. The cops were not friendly toward us but they didn't want to get too carried away with the tyranny. Checkpoints are unconstitutional, they need a Probable Cause to yank you over, they cannot impede everyone's travels on the chance that someone might be drunk.
