Singing Garden of Gethsemane while the camera is on the face of Christ. A song I wrote more than 2 years ago, while living across from a convent/hospital called St. Mary's in Rochester MN, a very beautiful cathedral resides in the hospital.
I lay down on the floor because
my heart feels like it's going to bust
I lay here and wax and wane
he's alone in the garden again
He calls my name I listen still
this image brings me the chills
time has passed yet he still remains
in the garden of gethsamane
will I falter and go to sleep
with all my pride and vanity?
like the apostles I'm still learning
temptations rise and i feel so weak
I realize it's not enough for me
to only pray for my family
he calls out I fall to my knees
I reach out to gethsamane
I can feel the blood drip from his brow
one more time he calls my name aloud:
"son, please stay up and pray with me... I'm alone in Gethsemane"
*I lean on Him it's true
He knows me through and through
all my fears, faults and pride
still He remains throughout all time
