Students at Carnegie Mellon University made robots play RoboPong for a lab in 16-311. This is the championship match. The team on the left is the lower seeded team in the tournament. The team on the right was the favorite in the tournament. Let the nerdiness ensue...

Students were given the choice to either take an air shot or a bounce shot, however given that robots are "consistent," only one cup is removed in either case.

Playing standard 10 cup format. Redemption can happen and three cups would be put on either side. Obviously no swatting, island, etc. If the ball bounced off of something behind the cups, then the ball was automatically out of play.
