Don Staniford, founder of "Global Alliance Against Industrial Aquaculture" has been sued by Norwegian fish farm Company "Cermaq" for stating that fish farms spread disease such as "ISA" which can be lethal to salmon. This despite Cermaq's own research showning that fish farms spread "Infectious Salmon Anemia" to Chile where the disease decimated Chile"s salmon farm stocks. Here in B.C. we would have even more to lose if ISA was to be introduced into our wild pacific salmon stocks via fish farms. Some evidence indicates that "ISA" may already be here.
