Find out more about the GBPN, our mission, our vision, what do we do and how we operate.

GBPN's goal is simple: achieve deep cut in GHG emissions from the building sector through building energy performance.

The GBPN champions policy packages that will make today's leading state of the art practices the standard by 2020: Near zero energy new buildings; Deep retrofitting of existing buildings; Integrated renewables; Mandatory disclosure of energy performance.

What we do =
The GBPN is committed to energy efficiency and CO2 savings in buildings through:
1) Advancing policies that work
• Conduct research and analysis (compiling international data and research)
• Provide expertise and design policies and programs
• Assessing the impact of current policies

2) Communicate globally about the building sector's carbon mitigation potentials
• Promote and share best practice examples / policies that work
• Compare differences between regions (context, policy frameworks, level of implementation and practices)

3) Bringing together the Energy Efficiency in Buildings movement (world's top experts, business leaders and international organisations) to leverage our collective expertise.

How we work =
The GBPN runs a global centre in Paris and regional building performance hubs in the US, Europe, China, and India. We are uniquely regionally organised enabling the elevation of local and regional expertise and best practices to inform the global push for lower energy and energy performance buildings.
