The "buzz" has begun! Jay Alvarez and his one man play (really one man since he wrote and acts it) has taken on a life of its own. It has opened on both coasts, repeatedly, and in Washington. This universal story could be anyone's story of escape to freedom, as you will learn from Jay's reflection in this interview on the reaction of those who have seen the play. Jay also reveals the inside story on how he can deliver the avalanche of emotions at every performance, emotions so big they must be sung? "Sharks . . .The Musical"??? Review by M.O. Martinez: After his triumph this year with a magnificent profile of award winning vocalist Luisa Maria Guell , producer director Agustin Blazquez has launched a new short film which focuses this time on actor-writer Jay Alvarez.

Jay Alvarez has been heating up the stages in New York and Washington with his one man production "Be Careful! The Sharks Will Eat You!" an autobiographical play recalling his family's dramatic escape from Cuba by boat in 1964. Mr. Alvarez has been gathering some impressive reviews from theater critics as well as enthusiastic applause from the public.

This new documentary by Blazquez is basically an in-depth interview with Jay Alvarez and how his play is achieving national recognition.
