A Public Hearing was held by Assembly Standing Committee on Consumer Affairs and Protection at Lehman College examining "The use of biotechnology in foods and its effects on consumers." To examine the impacts of state labeling requirements for foods containing genetically modified organisms (GMOs), as proposed by A.3525-A, and the effects the bill would have should it become law. Prior to the open discussion a rally/press conference was held. Know all that's needed is we need to flood the NY Assembly Committee on Consumer Affairs & Protection with written testimony in support of GMO Labeling Bill A3525-A by August 5th! Write and mail a physical letter today & email - please do both and share this with everyone you know in NY!
