Peter Snyder, PhD, vice president of research at Lifespan, and his colleagues received the Ig Nobel award on Thursday, September 29 (see: http://improbable.com/ig/ ) for their study on how postponing the urge to void and the pain it causes can impact cognition, and can have the same effect as low levels of alcohol or sleep deprivation.
