10 million people in Ethiopia suffer from disease causing blindness and 100% needlessly so, leaving families and communities facing daily hardship, suffering and isolation.
No longer prevalent in the West, trachoma is the most common cause of infectious blindness. A highly contagious bacterial infection, spread as simply as by a child reaching for a mother's hand, it causes not only loss of sight, but isolation and dependence in a country where every day is a struggle to survive. All of this is so easily preventable with inexpensive medical treatment.
Find out how you can help give sight to a family in need, creating a future of vision and independence for so many, at http://www.jemmakidd.com or by simply sharing this video on facebook or twitter
