This was our first Vettes4Vets track day over Memorial Day weekend and my first GoPro outing. I have done other HPDE track events at fairly technical tracks and will have to say nothing prepares you for driving on the banked corners of a Nascar track, feels even stranger when you are behind someone going too slow (slow is anything less than 80MPH for these corners) and have to drive through at say 40-50 MPH when starting out. At anything less than 80MPH you almost feel like the car will slide down into the infield, both this and the view are not accurately captured by video. I'll know how to better position myself in line next time.......how to better space out from slower cars.......and where to place the camera..........and what batteries to use. The Wasabi Japanese batteries KILL the OE Chinese GoPro battery, the OE battery did not make it through the final session on the video.
