Lynne Rosen, host of the Pursuit of Happiness on WBAI 99.5 FM in New York City, shares her vision for creating the life you want, and becoming the person you've always wanted to be.

You hasten your steps
believing you are heading to a better place
yet you may discover
that you are right back where you started
Don't despair
Learn to follow your true inner voice
that part of you that says
I need take a giant leap into the glorious unknown
where magical things can happen
where I can finally let myself go
Life is full of promise and possibility when you take that risk Nurture yourself when you feel low
and revel in the moments when you feel high
Push yourself when you think there's nothing left to go on when there are no outward signs of progress
This doesn't mean you're not moving
only that you need to keep working. Work on reinventing yourself
Work on protecting your personal space from negative intruders
Remember, positivity is precious
and even a brief exposure to negativity
is like being drenched in an acid bath
Try something scary and new-even if you feel foolish
Be spontaneous, sexually and otherwise
Embrace your body
no matter what flaws you think you have
Study it if you want to, but never scrutinize it
It's yours forever
Never let go of the hope that you can shine
Wake up every day and fight for yourself
and one day, you may find
that you have become
the person you've always wanted to be
