Just as the country was waiting for the promised Christmas package of passing the anti homosexual bill, the Prime Minister Amama Mbabazi, in what appears to be a slap in the face has revealed that government is not ready to proceed with the Bill because of the penal code already provides for penalties.
Mbabazi also stressed that Homosexuality is not a new thing in Uganda and that Ugandan cultures recognize them since certain names are given to people with such biological set ups. Mbabazi says any attempt to make a new Anti-homosexuality law would be a wastage of time but adds that cabinet is going to set up a committee to discuss the matter.
