This film shows consumers which products may contain hidden cage eggs!

Consumers prefer eggs from animal-friendly keeping systems. As for shell eggs, consumers can deliberately avoid purchasing eggs from cruel cage keeping of laying hens. It's a different story for processed food and ready-to-eat-products: without even knowing, many of us often eat cage eggs in cookies, cakes, noodles and a variety of other foods. Though ingredients have to be listed on the products, the production form of the egg (cage, barn, freerange or organic freerange) is not subject to compulsory marking. In addition, also the food service industry often still uses liquid and shell eggs from cage keeping.

FOUR PAWS demands clear labelling of the keeping system for the laying hens on products containing eggs in supermarkets and the food service industry.
