We set up an extra level in augmented reality, for die-hard fans and to generate free publicity, as a prequel to the new release for the xBox/PC-game Splinter Cell Conviction .
This brand experience was a real-life fox-hunt played by walking through Amsterdam whilst looking through a smartphone that used the Layar-AR-browser. Layar showed what was around the players by displaying augmented reality seen through the camera of their smartphone. The press wrote en mass about Operation-SC-Revelation. A media value of over 300.000 Euros was generated within a couple of days.
