This is MURVV - a four wheel drive creation that makes use of mecanum wheels to deliver an exciting and dynamic way to control a robot. It sports an aluminum frame and carbon-steel parts, and weighs in a 25 kg. It is powered by two 12V lead acid batteries driving four independent 24V DC motors, each driven by a PhidgetMotorControl 1-Motor (1065_0). It is controlled wirelessly over the network using the PhidgetSBC2 (1072_0), and incorporates a PhidgetSpatial (1044_0) in order to monitor rotation and heading.
