This video highlights the main achievements of the Sim-e-Child Project, an international cooperation STREP partially funded by the European Commission under the 7th Framework Programme. Sim-e-Child has developed a grid-enabled platform for large scale simulations in paediatric cardiology, providing a collaborative environment for constructing and validating multi-scale and personalized models of a growing heart and vessels. Sim-e-Child has been a follow-up to a former and highly successful EC funded Integrated Project, Health-e-Child (2006-2010), and has led to trans-Atlantic cooperation with leading US institutions such as the American College of Cardiology, the Johns Hopkins University, and Siemens Corporate Research.
