Janoris Jenkins had an incredible rookie season at cornerback for the St. Louis Rams. He registered 73 tackles, while intercepting 4 passes and recovering a fumble. 3 of his picks went for touchdowns and he returned his only fumble recovery for a touchdown. He also deflected 14 passes, had 3 tackles for loss, and blocked a kick.
In my opinion he deserves to win Defensive Rookie Of the Year (ROY). His 4 defensive touchdowns led the league in non-offensive touchdowns and were 2 more than any other rookie defender. 3 tackles for loss is good for a linebacker, let alone a corner; and the 3 tackles were on Alfred Morris, Marshawn Lynch, and Adrian Peterson. He deflected 14 passes and blocked a kick. He also caused SF QB Colin Kaepernick to draw an intentional grounding penalty in the endzone, resulting in a safety. All in all, Jenkins still has plenty to work on, but his incredible athleticism allows for his dynamic playmaking ability
