In the picture, Franco is still playing his Fender Jaguar, but I think this may have been recorded after he had just made the switch to the Gibson Les Paul.

If the story of this song is similar to that of Lisolo Ya Adamo Na Nzambe by Ntesa Dalienst, Franco might have intervened here.

In the case of that song, Franco asked Ntesa: Is it OK if I intervene? And then he improvised his whole part right there in the studio.

You can hear the difference: Ndombe, who really hasn't got the natural gift to squeeze as many syllables into a bar as he needs to get in there. And THAT was actually the written part.

And then Franco takes over, and no matter how many syllables the improvised line may have, he makes it sound completely natural... it all JUST fits.

Besides Ndombe's and Franco's voices, we hear Youlou's and Josky's. Because of Youlou's presence, this can be no later than 1977.

Ndombe's pic is probably from eight or nine years later than the recording, the pic of Franco is at least a year older than the recording.
