As someone whose formative childhood years were in the context of a hardworking family getting by, Joel Solomon had the relatively unique experience of then being propelled to wealth, entrepreneurship and big business as a young adult by his father’s business. More uniquely, a prolonged specter of possible death in his early 20s against the backdrop of the 1960s-70s have likely provided him a more philosophical bent than most.
