Updated Review of Mugen 1.0

OK lets go over this again.

First of all, Thank you cluade75 for telling us how to record using Fraps on Mugen 1.0

Ai comparison -
As you can see with fighting Speedy9199's Hakumen in Mugen 1.0 compared to my previous video of fighting him in HiResMugen, his Ai has been more responsive and pretty nasty to deal with, especially under his gold palette and in Defense Mode. So if a character is built for 1.0 its best you fight him in 1.0.

Resolution-
unless you have some alienware or custom gaming computer, Its best not to play in 1280x720 resolution. its best to play in SD or 640x480 resolution, or 640x360 for a widescreen effect (and less lag, but thats later) Otherwise, it looks great in WideScreen HD quality.

Character acceptability-
It can take characters from regular or HiResMugen if they do not have a bug in their programming or more commonly "cheep" or "crap" characters like Gloria, or Hazama.

Recording with Fraps-
by setting BlitMode to pageflip
and RenderMode to openGLScreen

But there are a few problems, If you plan on recording with fraps on these settings, then the game will demand more. having the resolution on 1280x720 in windowed mode gave me roughly 8FPS when I was recording for this fight. the roughly the same framerate when I lowered the resolution to 640x420 in full screen and 640x360 in full screen. In Full Screen 1280x720 there was a visual blocking glitch, not allowing me to see anything.

to get a decient recording on my average computer with 4GB of ram, I put it on 640x360 in windowed mode. (I prefer fullscreen when I play games) and with this fight which has both a stage like this and Speedy9199's Hakumen putting a stress on the framerate, it gave me a varying rate of a low of 14FPS to a high of 35FPS. and through out fighting him, I had quite a bit of input lag, making it difficult to pull off Ren's command grab at times.

Pros -
the graphics are great in HD if you have the horsepower. AI for 1.0 characters are better to fight in 1.0 then regular mugen.

Cons-
Lots of Lag for my decient computer, and a windowed screen is not pleasant to play in.

All in all, I prefer being able to play my mugen in a good speed in full screen, then having it in a window and having a very slow framerate. If the work on the lag, or If I have a brand spanking new gaming computer, then Ill switch.
But for now Im sticking my hacked HiResMugen.
