This short trailer features extracts from our new DVD 'Joseph's Story', which is based on the murder of 16-year old Joseph Lappin and highlights the law of Joint Enterprise. Joseph was attacked in Liverpool by a group of youths and fatally stabbed by one of the group. All those involved in the attack on Joseph were initially charged with murder under the law of Joint Enterprise, which allows someone to be charged for murder if they foresaw that someone might kill or inflict serious harm on another person. This Educational DVD explores 'A Different Ending...' what might have happened if someone in the group had done the right thing - could the murder of Joseph Lappin have been prevented? The DVD can be used with young people to encourage discussion around personal responsibility, gangs, carrying knives, joint enterprise and violence. Suitable audiences include: Secondary Schools, Youth Offending Services, Prisons, Youth Groups, Police Officers in Education. The dramatised scenes in this DVD have been acted by pupils from Joseph's school.
