Four anti-government protests were planned in Hong Kong on Saturday November 2, 2019. In Victoria Park, protesters held “election meetings” after police rejected an application for a proposed rally there. Before the event began, tensions flared up around the park.Crowds marched from Causeway Bay to Wan Chai and then to Central and Sheung Wan, chanting slogans, building barricades and vandalising shops, businesses and MTR station entrances along the way.On the other side of Victoria Harbour, in Tsim Sha Tsui, clashes erupted between riot police and protesters after a peaceful music event, spreading into Jordan and Mong Kok later in the evening. The chaotic day and night marked the 22nd straight weekend of civil unrest in Hong Kong.
