World Golf Tour Guide to choosing the right club can take strokes off your game. Learn how with this tutorial narrated by Peter Kessler. www.wgt.com

Choosing the right club is important. In order to choose the right club you need to judge your distance, read your line, check the wind and pay attention to any changes in elevation.

Estimated Club Yardage= Ball Flight + Roll
Based on a shot on a level fairway with no wind

If your ball is not on the fairway and there is wind you'll have to judge the distance based on your experience.

Lower numbered clubs = More distance and less loft
Higher numbered clubs = Less distance and more loft

Use a longer club when hitting uphill and a shorter club when hitting down hill.
