A bit of background story on this one. Lock forward Peter FitzSimons had been playing his club rugby in France for Brieve. When France toured Australia in 1990 he wanted to prove what a tough man he was. Over 3 tests France pummeled him.

In the first test Abdelatif Benazzi gets sent off 13 minutes into his first cap by stamping on his head.

In the second test Abdelatif Benazzi again stands on FitzSimons head, which results in Tim Gavin remonstrating with Benazzi, which then results in Gallas flattening Gavin.

France finally get their revenge on FitzSimons with him starting a huge fight. Philippe Sella the 5'10" and 13 stone Center finally had enough of the French packs failure to take out FitzSimons and knocks him out himself.
