The Vote Leave campaign boss, Dominic Cummings, has been appointed as a senior adviser to Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

After working as an adviser to Michael Gove at the Department of Education, Cummings was campaign director for Vote Leave during the EU referendum.

He’s credited with devising the Leave side's winning strategy, coming up with its slogan "Take Back Control".

But what does his new job in Downing Street mean for the future of Boris Johnson’s government? Could an early election be on the horizon? David Grossman reports.
