Purpose of lecture: This lecture is part of a series of lectures that serve as an introduction to the relational query language of SQL. The current lecture introduces the academic database, a set of tables used to demonstrate multi-table operations such as join and subquery.
It is important for anyone who plans to view the Advanced SQL Queries videos to first view this video. Without the benefit of this video, the semantics of the database might be unclear.
The tables described in this video can be created by running the script named academic.sql. This script can be downloaded from our website: www.timhartley.com
